How Does It Work?

You can buy FMPP when you are ready to purchase or lease your new Ford truck, car or SUV. There are different plans available to you, from 2 year/40,000 km plans all the way to 8 year/200,000 km plans. There are also different Maintenance intervals that you can choose, from getting serviced every 6 months/8,000 km to once every 12 months/16,000 km. It’s all up to you, to reflect your own driving habits.

FMPP covers all your scheduled maintenance, like oil changes and air filters, tire rotations, transmission fluids, fuel filters, engine coolant, lubrication, and more. Plus it covers 8 wear items – items that always wear out on any vehicle. The plan covers Brake Pads & linings, Brake Rotors, Shock Absorbers, Spark Plugs, Wiper Blades, Engine Belts and Coolants, hoses and clamps, Light Bulbs and on manual transmissions, clutch disks.

FMPP Saves You Money

The price of an FMPP usually runs around $2400. When you put that into your financial plan for your vehicle it tends to up the price by about $40 a month, or less than $20 bi-weekly.

So let’s run some numbers: say you are on the 5 year/100,000 km plan. Over 5 years you’ll probably bring your vehicle in one every 5 months, or 12 times. Get an oil change 12 times that’s $907.00. Then there are 2 air filers – $72; 2 times you get a complete Automatic Transmission Fluid change – $373. Have a 4WD? A transfer case fluid change runs you $225. Right now we’re at $1,577.

Then there are 7 sets of wiper blades, $293; brake rotors & pads for the front: $625; brake rotors, drums, pads/shoes for the rear: $589; shock absorbers: $700; engine belts, hoses and clamps/seals: $145; $50 worth of light bulbs and $235 in spark plugs. That’s another $2,637!

You Will Save Money with FMPP! But more than that, you’ll never feel the wallet pinch that comes with the news that you need a brake job or one of the more expensive services that are required in order for your Warranty to not be voided.

And There’s More…

The prices I have given you are from 2017. You know that prices rise almost every year. FMPP shields you from that as well, as prices are locked in from when you purchased the plan.

And coverage is transferrable! If you decide to trade your vehicle early you can leave the remaining coverage on the vehicle (increasing its trade-in value). Or if you’re buying a new Ford, through our Loyalty Advantage Program you can move a pro-rated portion of the unused FMPP to your new plan for your new Ford.

Speaking of trade-ins: a well-maintained vehicle, with the evidence of it provided by the FMPP, tends to have a higher resale value. So in effect, you are protecting your investment!
