The Ford EcoSport (pronounced ECHO-sport, not EEKO-sport) is a sporty, compact crossover offering an economy-minded package. The Ford EcoSport kind of looks like a pre-adolescent version of the Ford Escape. But jump inside and you’ll find it roomy and comfortable.

Ford EcoSport Trim Packages

The Ford EcoSport comes in four trims. From base to best, there’s S, SE, SES, Titanium. There’s also a choice of front-wheel drive (FWD) and intelligent four-wheel drive (4WD). Front-wheel-drive models are powered by Ford’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine; this small engine is turbocharged to enhance performance. The 4WDs feature a 2.0-litre direct-injection four-cylinder engine. Both engines are matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.

It has plenty of storage space and a snazzy side-hinged rear hatch. There isn’t a wasted centimetre here! There are a lot of hiding places, cubbies and nooks. A false floor in the trunk maximizes cargo storage and allows hiding space for valuables.

Features & Technology Galore in the Ford EcoSport

The EcoSport has a ton of great features, like Auto Start-Stop. Auto Start-Stop automatically cuts off the engine when you don’t need it. Like when you’re at a red light or in a drive-thru. The engine automatically cuts back in the second you touch the gas pedal. There is also BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) which uses radar to spot vehicles in your blind spot and watches for traffic behind you.

There’s a lot of technology in the EcoSport! Like the available SYNC® Connect Powered by FordPass. Ford owners and passengers can enjoy an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot. Up to 10 devices can connect at once. FordPass is an app for your phone, which functions like both your fob and your control panel, allowing remote start, unlocking, locking and even locating. It also remotely supplies vehicle info including mileage and how filled your tank is by percentage.

An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also available is a 10-speaker premium sound system pumping out 675 watts.

There’s also a 110 V/150 W power outlet and two USB ports in the EcoSport, so you can keep everything powered up.
