2020 Ford Explorer: Adventure Reimagined

2020 Ford Explorer: Adventure Reimagined

The Ford Explorer has been around for a very long time. It was Ford’s second SUV and it is back this year with an all-new generation that is more luxurious and more refined than ever. Of course, Ford hasn’t neglected what makes an SUV popular and also offers plenty of space and storage in the new 2020 Explorer. Ford even added a more powerful ST version as well as a hybrid to make sure their SUV stands out.

The Explorer has changed quite a bit on the outside which is a good thing. It now looks more luxurious and you shouldn’t be surprised if people come up to you asking about the vehicle you are driving and what it is exactly. Inside, you’ll find a spacious three-row environment that features Ford’s all-new 10.1” central touchscreen, as well as a 12.3” full-colour digital display behind the steering wheel (standard on Platinum models) that Ford calls its Digital Productivity Screen. You’ll also find a rotary gear shift dial and available wireless charge pods for your smartphones.

The Platinum version of the new Explorer features a 3.6L EcoBoost engine that produces 365 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, but the Ford Explorer ST is where things take a very sport turn. Ford engineers took that same engine for the ST model and ramped everything up for a final output of 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of the engine chosen, power is handled via Ford’s latest 10-speed automatic transmission.

With the ability to tow (up to 5,600 lbs), handle off-road conditions, seat up to seven passengers, be comfortable and capable, look good while doing it all, and even offer a pumped-up performance version for those who want the space and the dynamics of the drive, the 2020 Ford Explorer is well worth checking out.

The 2020 Explorer is also very comfortable and very refined on the road, and you will be amazed at the quality of the interior trim and the overall sophistication of the cockpit.
